Services

The enjoyment and lifestyle of our residents is a key focus of The Good Shepherd Home. As such, we offer a diverse range of facilities and services in order for our residents to enjoy a dynamic and fulfilling lifestyle whenever possible.

The Home offers the following in-house services:

Clinical services

The Good Shepherd Home employs a dedicated team of clinical staff including registered nurses on site on a 24 hour basis. There are also a number of general practitioners who regularly visit the home.

Allied Health Services

Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, diversional therapy, speech therapy, and podiatry are available in house. Dental services, optometry and audiometry can be arranged as necessary.

Church Services

Weekly Sunday Anglican services and monthly Catholic and Uniting Church services are held at the home. Other religious services can be arranged on request. An Open Prayer meeting is also held every Friday with the Home's Chaplain.

Day Therapy Services

The Good Shepherd Home offers a Day Therapy service for those living in the community.

Hairdressing

Residents can access the Village Hairdressing Salon or receive hairdressing in their own rooms, with care staff arranging appointments.

Laundry

A daily free laundry service is provided and minor repairs, alterations and labelling are available for a small fee.

Chaplaincy and Support Services

We understand that moving into an aged care facility can be emotionally stressful for all involved.

The Home's Chaplain plays an important role during this time, offering support to new residents and relatives of The Good Shepherd Home. The Chaplain visits with residents regularly, and holds weekly Open Prayer meetings.

The Home also has a Welcoming Committee, consisting of staff and residents, who ensure that all new residents enjoy a smooth transition to life at The Good Shepherd.
